NACCME Announces Launch of Oncology Learning Network
Millstone Township, NJ (PRWEB) January 20, 2012
North American Center for Continuing Medical Education, LLC (NACCME) today announced the launch of Oncology Learning Network (http://www.oncologylearningnetwork.com), a continuing education resource that provides oncologists with the web, print, mobile, and live activities they need to advance patient treatment and improve outcomes.
In our research we found not just learning gaps–areas oncologists need to improve upon–but also educational gaps–topics and formats that are not being addressed by todays continuing education providers, says Stephen Chavez, Senior Director of Educational Services at NACCME. Becoming a resource for understanding exactly how oncologists learn better positions us to meet these needs, he adds.
OLN will collaborate with leading experts, institutions, and medical societies to develop activities that measurably translate knowledge to care. OLNs next initiative will address gaps in the treatment and care of non-small-cell lung cancer.
To learn more about OLN and to discuss findings of its landmark study of oncologists learning habits, contact Stephen Chavez at schavez(at)naccme(dot)com or visit http://www.oncologylearningnetwork.com.
